2008年5月21日...7:35PM...

泰瑞莎在自家樓下遭搶...歹徒尾隨泰瑞莎進了公寓,在電梯口亮出小刀...搶走了28大洋...

警察在5分鐘後趕到...帶著泰瑞莎做了一堆筆錄...實在是能了解大多數人不願報案的原因...真是搞太久了...

But...I refuse to be a Victim...所以麻煩還是要去...

各位同學...以後要小心喔...

 

為什麼不全線都包出去咧...這樣廣告費不就能COVER potential fare hike了咩?

說真的...紐約地鐡上大部份的廣告...以台灣廣告的眼光來看...幾乎都是很糟的作品啊...

雖然以前廣告公司的生活很辛苦...但是還是挺想念的呢....

 

COOKIE是撒嬌貓--每天跟進跟出愛拗拗叫(不是喵喵叫...真的是拗拗叫...),沒人摸就不開心...連進廁所都要跟得緊緊...

BROWNIE是愛吃貓+戀鞋癖--不得到WET FOOD勢不放棄,抓門,用無辜眼神苦求,用軟軟肉墊拍人...聞到剛脫下來的鞋就會欣喜若狂....

BROWNIE和COOKIE相親相愛...

 

COOKIE和BROWNIE是我現在的室友們...雖然我是個DOG PERSON...這兩隻喵喵還是好玩得緊啊!!

說到這張4/16/2008 YANKEES對REDSOX的球票, 其實是當時買不到便宜的套票, 一氣之下, 賭氣亂按, 不小心買到的...

本想說, 買不到套票, 就看這一千零一場吧...所以沒看位置好不好, 60大洋就刷了下去...

那麼剛好, 遇到台灣之光王建民先發...那如果這季就只看這場也值得囉...

YANKEES對REDSOX的比賽氣氛真的差很多...就有種場內場外都無冷場的感覺...

場外不停有球迷叫嚷, 打架, 可憐的保安人員跑上跑下...

場內也是全壘打, 安打,暴投, 盜壘, 換投手, 和裁判吵架什麼都有...

比數最後是個很誇張的9比15, 打到了11點16分...超久的比賽...

一直到進到SUBWAY...球迷還不停叫嚷"boston sucks.." 之類...

氣氛熱烈到不行...

 

我...說是球迷還不算真的只是湊熱鬧啊...

不過說真的...如果真的只能看一場球...YANKEES對REDSOX這兩個世仇對決...一定要看啊...

 

2008年2月29日...因為四年才有一次...來一個大總結吧...

最近在大眾交通工具上的運不太好...等不到車之類就算了...但遇到了些奇怪的事件...

其一

有天在B Train不知為何卡在34st, 好不容易坐了D Train,在59th st. 轉到了C Train後...走了一站到了72nd st.站,車子就不走了...只見車掌一個車廂一個車廂地問 "有沒有看到一個走失的小孩?" 老實說...我第一次遇到MTA的人會一個車一個車的找人...這是應該的,但是以MTA通訊系統落後的程度來說,我實在懷疑他們得到的資訊是否正確,說不定那小孩跑上了D Train早就到了125th St. 那站了啊...雖然等得有點不爽,但這種事也無法避免...希望他們最後還是找到那個小孩...

其二

每天坐同一時間的METRO NORTH上班...雖然有點久...也習慣了啊...除了有時小誤點...也沒什麼...不過前幾天...在某一站火車站停了下來...過了很久很久門都不開...好不容易開了...我們這個車廂只開了一個門...進來了一個警察,走到了一個女人身邊, 要她秀了票和證件, 手銬拿了出來,把那女人銬走了...原來她用的是假票...但同時間...外面"喔一喔一"的警車一部一部地趕來了...車上的我們慌了,用假票也不用著那麼多警察迎接吧?結果!!是另一個車廂有乘客攻擊人! 是怎樣!!!

 

反正2008年2月真是一個怪啊!!!

 

 

每年都一定要去的EVENT啊! 今天起了個大早, 7點多就開始排了...果然早一點的位置好一點...

今年第一個戲碼是"ROMEO AND JULIET"

舞台設計每次都是我最愛的部份...今年居然放了個水池...還會旋轉...實在忍不住偷偷照了一張照片(不應該啦...只是今年的設計太讚了...)

為了讓人早點入戲,一進場就看到幾個演員在舞台走動...

今年的天氣非常地合作,涼風徐徐,伴著Central Park裡的蟲鳴鳥叫...

看露天舞台表演真是不錯啊...

唯一的代價就是要等...不過等待真的是值得的...

Forgot to change the time of my alarm...got up late...rush out of the door in 5 mins...saw a bus right in front the door...Jumped onto the bus...put my metrocard in...

"uh-oh"

$0.50 Paid...

I was $1.50 short...

reaching to my pocket, searching my bag ...Dang...I only found $1.40...3 blocks from where I should get off...was thinking I will just put that $1.40 in and dash...

The lady sitting accross offered me a quarter...

Nice lady.......and nice bus lady that did not kick me out when my metrocard did not have enough $$

 

The weather is still groomy...

but thank you ladies...

who says new yorkers are rude?

In line since 8 am for the free ticket of "mother Courage and her children" from Shakespeare in the park event...got the very very last tickets...

Almost ordered the very first LV wallet (not yet...almost...)

Almost rain-out show...but the rain went away so I saw Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline's great performance...

and got a bonus star spotting of  Natalie Portman.

last but not least...saw a cop arresting a guy in a subway car...

 

A regular Saturday in New York? what do you think?

On my way to work, I like to go pass the Bryant Park...Today ABC Good Morning America is having summer concert on Friday.

Today, I heard Taylor Hicks "Do I make you proud"...wow wow wow...he is really an american idol! I had goose bumps hearing his voice! very very powerful voice...and touching...no wonder he got picked...

在下貓下狗的大雨過後...在CITY看到了小小的螢火蟲...小小的小小的光...

挺感動的...也不知為何...紐約總是有點小東西讓你會原諒它的髒, 它的亂, 和沒有耐心的人們...

I have to write this down...it is just funny...and aiya...forgot to memorize the driver's name...

Was on the way to central park for "macbeth" so we grabbed a cab...

All of a sudden...the driver gave me two oranges, I must looked stunned, and then he passed me some napkins...the whole cab ride I was trying to figure out what to do with those two oranges..."to eat or not to eat?"

anyways... those oranges are still alive... (for today...)

 

well...I should go buy lottery...cus...the chance you would meet a friendly cab driver(that will offer you food)  in New York City...well...you know...

 

 

well...i took 7/3 off...so made the past weekend a super long weekend...

did i have a nice weekend? I guess...at least I found something to do everyday...

movie, brunch, BBQ, Shakespeare in the Park for "Macbeth", fireworks at south street seaport...

 

mixed feeling for this holiday...cus seems in the past few years...there were always things happened on 7/4 ...and made me feel.."geeze, today is not my day"

 

I still remember the first year I moved to New York...I had to stay home...cus my stomach ached like crazy...

last year...was planned to see the fireworks at cath's rooftop...and it was closed...

yesterday! My window broke! the top sash just fell! geeze...and I had to spend all day at home waiting for the handyman...

 

so...overall...July 4th...not my day i guess...

for a test drive...of the Macy's thanksgiving parade...(cus today the wind is 20miles/hour!!just like in November!)

just funny to see a huge ballon that should only appear in November...

but just pikachu though...poor pikachu...all alone...in May...

 

I think it's gonna be the next Disney movie!

A coyote wondering in Central Park...

funny thing is...this makes me think...am i like the coyote? Wondering...in a strange place...maybe it's time for me to be tranquilized and be pulled out of this strange place...

I've been doing Hot Yoga two days in a row...feeling really energetic

Really challenging just to stay in a hot room...and sweat like a pig...

But ...i do feel...better...physically and mentally...

 

Maybe it's my new thing in year 2006!

 

yeah...不是那個下雨天...是真的Rain...那個韓國歌手...演浪漫滿屋的那個...

對...他來紐約開演唱會...基於好奇心...咱們買了票進了場...(最後一排)

我看全場最冷感的就我們吧...Rain小露一下...全場尖叫連連...我是忍著笑...不過...舞是真的跳得不錯...唯一有點受不了的是他愛耍帥...英文又有點...表達得不是很好..就只好一直"Yo Yo Yo..." or "I Love U..."

不過人真的是挺可愛的...身材也是挺讚的...

只是...我本來真的以為是在Madison Square Garden的主要場地...沒想到是在邊邊的小廳...雖然也是在Madison Square Garden裡面...大小可是差很多...

IT'S OVER, the transit strike is OVER! I was so glad that I saw the light in front of the subway station is on again. So I took the picture on my way home last night...Even though that I don't take subway as much. Still!

It's the best Xmas Gift for all  the New Yorkers!
